If your looking for something inexpensive, quiet, cool (temp), decent transfer speed, and more importantly reliable then this is the hard drive to buy!
Western Digital products can be expensive from time to time but I would definitely recommend one of these to anyone looking for something 100% reliable to save their valuable files on. These drives run cool even after 24 hours of use. They aren't noisy and the rubber padding on either side helps reduce vibrations. It sits nicely on my desk and switches off automatically when not in use. The outer casing is made from aluminum and when the drive heats up the heat dissipates through the metal keeping it cool. Transfer speeds are average and nothing amazing considering it runs off USB. I get around 30-35 MB/s average. That said, one lacking feature is that the drives supports USB only, No firewire, eSATA or Mini USB function (you may have noticed from the pictures). It isn't really a problem but the additional sockets wouldv been better in a sense. Anyway, what more can I say? lol...
