Just as it says on the box, a 1TB external Hard drive. It's a bit slower then my 500GB Toshiba drive, but I only bought it as a master backup, not to be used a lot - so a low price was the main consideration. It's got some nice rubber bumpers that protect it well. I had to spend a few hours reformatting to NTFS, but that was expected.
The only gripe I don't like is the plug. I've never seen one like that before. It's adapter is integrated into a changeable flat prong plate. Because of my equipment, it means I can't use the square 4-way power adapter, the plug requires clear socket to it's self. This is just a minor grumble. But I would have preferred a normal sized power plug.
Lost out on five stars because of the plug.
