Most USB storage devices are formatted with the FAT32 filing system, and this one is no exception. To make it even better, follow these instructions (making sure you have NO data on your USB device, i.e. do this before starting to use it):
Windows XP: Click Start, click 'run', type in 'cmd', then type, without quotation marks, 'convert g: /fs:ntfs' (where g is the drive assigned to your USB device by Windows; if unsure open up My Computer to see which)
Windows Vista: search for 'cmd', run as administrator, follow above instructions.
The conversion process might take a while - about ten minutes for mine!
