A solid piece of kit.It came formatted in FAT32 , so I had to change it to NTFS to get over the 4gb file barrier. It was very simple to do. I leave it permanently plugged in to the USB port so I had to disable the legacy USB setting in the BIOS to stop the computer from trying to boot from this drive. It powers down when the computer is switched off which is a bonus. The transfer speeds seem quick enough for my purposes. It is quiet when operating and so far has not broken down, we will see if it still works in a years time......I highly recommend this product.Get more detail about Western Digital Elements 1TB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive - Black.
