I have been very pleased with this product. You dont have to format the hard drive to work with a pc which is great. Certain manufactured drives come preformatted for a mac in the first instance (you dont always know till you open the box!)The process of reformatting can take up to hour to perform.
Once the Western Digital 1TB hard drive is plugged in you wait a few seconds and it appears as an icon under the 'my computer' heading in the windows menu (no seperate drivers on a disc to install so it's easy!) A big plus is its quiet operation. If it didnt have a small subtle blue indicator lamp on the back you wouldn't know it was switched on! The casing is solid, well engineered and compact. It has a standard USB 2.0 connection on the back and includes the USB cable and mains power lead. Theres no on/off switch on the back so you just unplug it.
