Bought this to add to expand my Apple Time Capsule.
I work in a fairly quiet office. I have several drives from Apple that are whisper quiet. But this WD drive is incredibly noisy. Sounds like a 747 taking off. Seems to perform OK otherwise. But I don't recommend it.Get more detail about Western Digital Elements 1TB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive - Black.
