Bought this in Feb 2009;transferred data and set aside until need to back up data once again - this time the drive failed to power up. Western Digital Internet based help pages unable to diagnose the problem and extremely time consuming. Returned to Western Digital - still awaiting replacement 6 weeks later (they have so far manged to repllace it with a completely different and completely useless internal hard drive) Never AgainGet more detail about Western Digital My Book Essential Edition 1TB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive.
