As others have commented this drive is slow.
I ordered two of these hard drives. One has stopped working and took out all the electricity in the house in the process. The power pack is supposed to supply 12 volts to the hard drive. The lead to the hard drive brushed against my hand and it felt to be far more than 12 volts! I would not be surprised if the transformer in the power pack was not working and I probaly felt a full 240 volts.
