this is the first external hard drive i have had.the main reason i bought this was because people said that it was reliable and so did the Description. i was willing to spend £100 or more for a reliable hdd, this was a good buy as it was very cheap (under £70) for a 1TB, it is very quite and shuts down when you turn off the computer, it can run a little hot if used for a long period of time (5 hours+ ).the transfer rate may be slower compaired to others but the main thing is that it is reliable as if it breaks you will lose important and you may even have confidential data on it so you can't get it repaired, that would be a waste of moneyGet more detail about Western Digital Elements 1TB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive - Black.
