I plugged the product into my Vista PC computer and the mains. Within a few seconds the PC had recognised the drive and was self-installing the drivers.
The drive comes formatted to FAT 32. I reformatted this to NTFS using the instructions found on-line in Western Digital's website.
I then backed up my video files to the drive with no problems.
