It's an ugly matt black thing with no switches, no lights, no sound, nothing apparently happening as it sits on your desk. There's no stand and it needs a power supply. At first my computer didn't want to say hello so I rebooted and there it was, my secret friend the very cheap storage that isn't that large. And it's MUCH MUCH quicker than the 250 gig Buffalo and 250 gig WD passport I already have. And I don't think anyone would pinch it. There's no annoying back-up software that doesn't really work so in Vista you can just use the tool supplied to make a huge, bootable disk. Reformatting took four hours, but access is instant and file transfer pretty quick.
